PAYPROP - JOHETTE SMUTS

Johette Smuts joined PayProp as the Head of Data and Analytics in 2017 after 5 years of working in the investment industry. She is responsible for all things data-related within PayProp, including reporting on the state of the rental market in the quarterly PayProp Rental Index. Johette graduated from Stellenbosch University with a B.Comm in Mathematical Sciences and B.Comm (Hons) in Financial Risk Management, and is also a CFA charter holder.

PAYPROP - JAN DAVEL

Jan Davel, an admitted attorney with the right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa, joined the PayProp South Africa executive team in 2019. He has extensive experience in the legal, banking, franchise and real estate sectors. Jan has received many business and leadership awards and served as Director on the Boards of various real estate bodies, such as REBOSA. He is also a past Chairman of the Franchise Association of South Africa.

PRIVATE PROPERTY - TRACEY LEE-MILLER

Ms Miller recently joined (one of south africa’s biggest online real estate brands) Private Property as Brand and Marketing Executive.  She is the heart behind the transformation of a brand that’s turning 22 this year.

 

Tracey Lee-Miller will be the Master of Ceremonies for the Nexus series of events.

Carl holds an MBA from UKZN and has a wealth of experience in the financial services sector, specialising in home loans and digital strategy.  He is father to two active boys, an avid runner and has conquered 3 Comrades Ultra-Marathons.  He is passionate about property and believes it has the power to unlock wealth and prosperity for the country.

ABSA - DEON VAN ZYL

Deon has over 40 years banking experience, spanning over Marketing & Sales, Private & Wealth Banking and Structured Lending. He has been leading the Cape Home Loans team for the past two years, looking after both the Eastern and Western Cape.

ABSA - ISTHIAQ SATTOR

Isthiaq has been at Absa since May 2019 and has previously been with Standard Bank and in the Home Loans business since 2010.

Responsible for the Gauteng Region, Isthiaq’s is an interactive team player who is passionate about growing people, housing our nation and shaping the industry in a meaningful way.

ABSA - VENUSHA NAIDOO

Venusha was born and raised in KZN, and it shows as she passionately leads the Absa Home Loans team in her home province.

Venusha has been in the banking sector for the last 14 years and joined the Absa Home Loans team in March 2020.

Before that, she was part of the Absa Relationship Banking team, leading sales in the Coastal region of KZN

ABSA - NERISSA DAVID

Nerissa started at Absa in 2006 as a Sales Manager and progressively moved up to Regional Manager Zululand in 2010. Originally from KZN, Nerissa has worked across different areas in the Province, including experience in the Retail Branch Network from 2006 – 2016. Nerissa started in Home loans in October 2016 where she was heading up the KZN Region before moving to lead the Home Loans Gauteng North Sales in November 2019.

ABSA - THANDO MAJOLA

Thando’s passion for serving customers spans over 19 years in Absa. Thando’s passion is in finding solutions for customers, clients and stakeholders.

He has held various roles, including as Sales Manager for Retail Bank Small Business, Regional Manager for Branches and Regional Head in the branch network just to mention a few. His current role as Regional Manager Home Loans Central has sparked an obsession in assisting our customers to own a Home and provide a place to call home for their loved ones.  

ABSA - CAROLINE KING

Caroline has been with Absa since 2007, where she headed up Strategic Stakeholder Engagement for Absa Home Loans before leading Business Development for Absa’s Secured Lending businesses which included Home Loans and Vehicle Finance. In 2015 Caroline became the Head of Insights and Customer Value Propositions for Absa Retail and Business Bank, before returning back home to Absa Home Loans in 2018

 

Caroline has been Head of Absa’s Home Loans Strategy and Advanced Analytics function since November 2018, and added Head of Sales to her portfolio in July 2019.
